Director of Commercial Development and Relationships

Nick joined Drinkaware in March 2026 and has strategic oversight of our Partnerships, Communications and Public Affairs functions.

Nick is a senior strategic communications and commercial leader with extensive experience delivering evidence‑led campaigns and behaviour change initiatives across government, industry and the charity sector. He is recognised for his ability to build strong strategic partnerships, bringing together diverse stakeholders and fostering trusted, long‑term relationships. Nick has held senior roles at Capita plc and Amazon, shaping high‑profile national and international programmes. 

At Capita, Nick served on the senior leadership team of the British Army Recruiting Partnering Project, a £440m+ Ministry of Defence outsourced contract and one of Europe’s largest recruitment operations, where he led marketing and communications strategy. He also led award-winning public safety campaigns and strategic partnerships for Gas Safe Register, strengthening public trust and driving measurable behavioural change. 

Alongside this, Nick served for six years as a Trustee of the Gas Safe Charity, gaining direct experience of charity governance and national advocacy. He is known for thoughtful, insight-driven leadership and for building credible, long-term partnerships around complex social issues.
