Elaine Hindal - Chief Executive

Elaine joined Drinkaware in 2013 from The Children’s Society, where she was Director of External Relations. Prior to that, Elaine held a number of global marketing roles with Nokia, Cadbury Schweppes PLC where she was Commercial Strategy Director for EMEA and Global Category Director, Chocolate; and The Coca–Cola Company, where Elaine was Global Brand Director. Prior marketing and communications experience was with Beiersdorf AG and Boots. Elaine is a Trustee of the Royal Mencap Society, where she advises on brand and communications strategy.

John Larsen Director of Evidence and Impact

John joined Drinkaware in 2014 to strengthen our evidence-based approach. He has a track record of developing organisational outcomes frameworks and leading innovative research, working in collaboration with academics and facilitating public research involvement. John has a background as a medical anthropologist and was previously Head of Research and Evaluation at the charity Rethink Mental Illness. He is an Associate Editor of the Mental Health Review Journal and a Visiting Fellow in the School of Applied Sciences, Division of Psychology at the London South Bank University.

Rommel Moseley - Director of Business Development and Partnerships

Rommel joined Drinkaware in 2014 with more than 15 years of business development experience. Rommel joined from Save the Children where as head of corporate partnerships, he successfully led the sponsorship strategy for the highly successful Christmas Jumper campaign and negotiated major sponsorship agreements with a number of FTSE 100 organisations. Earlier, Rommel held senior corporate partnerships roles with Cancer Research UK where he managed partnerships with a range of corporations in FMCG, retail and financial services; and was a founding member of young people’s charity, Envision.

Ben Butler - Director of Content & Communications

Ben’s digital expertise has been behind the success of our website, by far UK’s leading website for alcohol-related information, and the Drinkaware app. Ben oversees Drinkaware's campaign, online advertising and social media activity and our product development agenda. After gaining a degree from Goldsmiths University, Ben began his career with Virgin Radio before moving on to the Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB). Ben joined Drinkaware in 2008.
