The Drinkaware Trust is an independent, UK-wide alcohol-education charity which aims to reduce alcohol-related harm by helping people to make better choices about their drinking. It achieves this by: providing impartial, evidence-based information, advice and practical resources; raising awareness of alcohol and its harms; and working collaboratively with partners within government, public sector bodies and the wider health community.
Opportunities to join the Board of Trustees have arisen as some Trustees reach the end of their tenure and new opportunities emerge. This is an excellent opportunity for committed individuals to help to make a lasting impact on the UK’s drinking culture and to reduce the health and social harms of alcohol.
Specifically the Drinkaware Trust wishes to recruit up to two additional trustees whose relevant skills and experience will include:
- Digital strategy and transformation;
- On-trade/Hospitality and Events/ Commercial
Separately, the Board wishes to make two further, non-trustee appointments:
- A qualified and professionally experienced accountant as a co-opted member of the Audit and Risk Committee (unremunerated);
- A Chief Medical Advisor to chair an independent panel of medical experts (remunerated)
