Project name: Knw Ur Limit

Region: Bradford

Amount approved: £24,943

BYDP runs youth projects for hard to reach 8-25s to engage them in positive activities, education and training.  With Drinkaware funding BYDP is delivering awareness raising to young people through two strands:

1. Alcohol awareness programme accredited by the National Open College Network, delivered through creative means and targeting 14 to 18’s

2. Basic, unaccredited programmes on alcohol awareness targeting the 8 to 13’s.

The work will give young people the opportunity to become spokespersons for their peers, to become volunteer peer educators and pass awareness and safety messages on to other young people, and to access training and development opportunities.

The combination of accredited courses and unaccredited work targeted at specific ages will be evaluated and, if effective, can be passed on with learning as a package for similar youth groups.
