2XL engage with vulnerable teenagers to encourage them to develop key life skills, build strengths and overcome challenges.
2XL will deliver the ‘Illuminate’ theatre piece to class-size groups of young people. These issues are tackled by demonstrating poor decisions made by characters with the entire content being further explored using interactive means, role play, physical theatre, character interviews etc.
The piece will address the risks of misusing alcohol, the relevant laws, the overall impact of drinking and how to avoid peer pressure by focussing on the process of making choices. 2XL will be reaching a large number of individuals in 15 schools across Herefordshire, the project will be evaluated and learning gained at the end of each term will be used to fine tune the work and maximise impact.
