For the Drinkaware Christmas 2008 campaign we compiled some top tips for partygoers to help them have a merry – and memorable – Christmas. We also teamed up with top rugby union team, London Irish to promote the campaign and be a part of  the Guinness Premiership Rugby (GPR) responsible drinking weekend that took place on 20 December 2008.

London Irish players – who were top of the Guinness Premiership when the campaign launched – braved the rain to pose alongside a Drinkaware black cab – one of 300 taxis displaying advice to partygoers in London throughout December.

As part of the Guinness Premiership Rugby (GPR) responsible drinking weekend on 20 December, Drinkaware gave out our festive ‘tip cards’ to rugby fans at six GPR fixtures, including London Irish v Gloucester Rugby at Reading’s Madejski  stadium.

Pitch side Drinkaware hoardings and match programme content also offered responsible drinking advice.
