England cricketer Jimmy Anderson recently swapped maidens for monologues by making his acting debut in a tongue-in-cheek Drinkaware video to encourage people to regulate their summer drinking.
The 26-year old, who is currently spearheading England’s bowling attack at the Ashes, filmed the clip on a scorching hot day at Highgate Cricket Club, North London, as part of our ‘Drink less, Miss less’ initiative.
The film is all part of our campaign to show how some of the best summer moments can be missed because of excessive drinking, in particular when a trip to the toilet can come at the most crucial of times.
Jimmy said: “It was great fun making the film, I had a real laugh doing it and we had a real giggle – especially when we were filming the very final scene! When I was younger, there may have been a couple of times I was at an event and missed a crucial moment because I had to nip to the loo – rest assured though, I won't be doing any such thing when I take on the Aussies this summer!"
