More than 100 representatives from the public health community and drinks industry attended the first ever Drinkaware Annual Conference, held on 24 January 2011 at Westminster Central Hall in London.

The event focused on how best to address under-18 alcohol misuse and acted as a springboard for future collaboration between the various sectors. The conference included an address by Andrew Lansley CBE, Secretary of State for Health and a lively panel discussion hosted by journalist Sheena McDonald.

In attendance were a range of organisations including the Royal College of Nursing, the Alcohol Education Research Council, the British Beer and Pub Association, the Portman Group and University College London.
