Appointment of new Drinkaware trustees

The board of the Drinkware Trust consists of 13 trustees, of whom five are drawn from the alcohol industry, five from non-industry alcohol-related organisations and three that are independent of each of these categories. All trustees serve in a personal capacity rather than representing the organisation to which they are affiliated.

Because of retirements, the Drinkaware Trust is seeking to appoint four new trustees as follows:

  • two trustees from the alcohol industry who are likely to be senior and experienced executives from the producer or on-trade sectors
  • one non-industry alcohol-related trustee, who will have a professional interest in alcohol from a medical, public health, academic, treatment or other perspective
  • one independent trustee who will be able to bring relevant experience and expertise to the Drinkware Trust, for example in communications or marketing

Applications are invited from individuals who would like to help advance the work of the Drinkaware Trust. A description of the responsibilities of trustees can be found here. There are normally six meetings of trustees each year in London and some additional time commitment will be required for meeting preparation and involvement in other aspects of the Trust’s work.

If you are interested please email Drinkaware Chairman, Derek Lewis, with a short explanation of your interest and the relevance of your experience together with a CV.
